It all started in the summer of 1981 when we used our years of custom aircraft interior expertise to repair a few lead aprons for an X-ray technician in the Los Angeles area. Way back then lead aprons were heavy, stiff and not very well made. This led us to do some experimenting.

With a brand new lead-alloy formulation, that was lighter than anything on the market but still retained a .50mm Pb equivalency, plus several apron design changes and some new covering materials, Infab was born in an airplane hangar at the Municipal Airport in Van Nuys, California. Now more than 25 years later, we operate out of our 22,500 square foot state of the art factory in Camarillo, California. Our products are sold throughout the United States and worldwide.

Now we are proud to introduce our newest lead formulation called “Green Lite”. It’s the latest addition to our broad line of innovative products that are always designed with you, our valued customers, in mind. Each and every one of our high quality protective aprons, foam positioning aids, table pads, gloves, glasses, racks, carts, sandbags and more, are all made here in our facility, in compliance with FDA rules.
