The SorbX™ Angiography Shield is available with one, two or three levels of radiation protection. These shields are designed with an overall dimension of 13” x 16”, and include a 1.5” circular fenestration area. The shields are also available with highly absorbent material. The SorbX™ shields are sterile, disposable, lead-free, and green, so they are environmentally friendly and biodegradable.
Procedures
The Angiography Shield is used on any femoral entry angiography procedure such as stent placements, angioplasty, coronary cath procedures (diagnostic and interventional), or ablations (heart access to correct electrical malfunctions).
Levels of Protection
There are three levels of protection offered with the Angiography Shield. SorbX™ shields allow hospitals to attain healthier ALARA (As Low As Reasonably Achievable) levels of radiation.
