The SorbX™ Multi-Purpose Shields are available with one, two or three levels of radiation protection. These shields are designed with an overall dimension of 12” x 16.5”, and do not have a fenestration punch area, for greater precision when directing the radiation beam. They are available in our standard material and also with highly absorbent material. The SorbX™ shields are sterile, disposable, lead-free, environmentally friendly, and biodegradable.
Procedures
The Multi-Purpose Shields are designed for use in biopsy and biliary procedures. These include shunt, biliary drainage, spinal, stents, and diagnostics procedures. SorbXTM shields can be used anywhere on the body, depending on the entry point. The Multi-Purpose Shields (SX8201) can also be used on peripheral procedures (run-offs) with the entry point at the femoral arteryt
