The SorbX™ Dialysis Drape has two layers of radiation protection with an overall dimension of 38.5” x 36”. It is designed with a 4.5” x 9” rectangular fenestration area for needle or catheter access, and includes a 23” x 32” absorbent area. Velcro strips are included to allow for collimation purposes or for different camera angles. The SorbX shields are sterile, disposable, lead-free, and green, so they are environmentally friendly and biodegradable.

Procedures

The Dialysis Drape is used on dialysis access and declotting procedures. The access point is the underside of the forearm and the needle or catheter is placed into the fistula to remove blood clots.

Levels of Protection

There are three levels of protection offered with the Angiography Shield. SorbX™ shields allow hospitals to attain healthier ALARA (As Low As Reasonably Achievable) levels of radiation.
